We pull out all the stops to help prevent fraud before it starts—and back you up if it does.

24/7 account monitoring

Our fraud detection tools are always working. If something doesn’t look right, you will be contacted to make sure the transaction is yours. Is your credit card account enrolled online? Is it updated with your current mobile number? To check and make updates, access your credit card account and enroll online to manage your account and your peace of mind.
 

Tools you can use to protect your account

For added security, set up Face ID to sign in to your mobile app.

Worried that your credit card has been lost or stolen? You can lock your credit card to new transactions until you know for sure. You can also unlock your credit card if it is found. Access your credit card account to lock and unlock your credit card with free, safe, and secure online access.


Visa's Zero Liability1 Policy

When you have a Flagstar Visa® Credit Card, you won’t be held responsible for purchases you didn’t make, as long as you take reasonable precautions and report the issue to us promptly. (In other words, keep an eye on your account so you can report any unauthorized transactions right away.)


How you can protect your credit card, too

A few simple habits will give you peace of mind when using your credit card.

  • Pay with your mobile wallet instead of your card
    Add your credit card to your phone’s mobile wallet. When it’s time to pay, the wallet will encrypt your information and generate a one-time token for the transaction.
  • Use the chip at checkout
    Skimmers installed on credit card readers can steal your information. Instead of swiping or inserting your card, tap to pay to avoid the risk entirely.
  • Don’t shop on public Wi-Fi
    It’s not secure, and someone could swipe your information before you finish paying.
  • Don’t believe the hype
    That deal that’s too good to be true from a company you’ve never heard of? Go ahead and skip that one. It’s a scam.
  • Keep an eye on your credit card statements
    If you see a transaction you don’t recognize, let us know right away.
